Croft Farm Residential Trip May 2017

Mon 15 May – Day 1 of the Croft Farm Trip

11.15am – Year 5 and Year 6 pupils hauled their bags, cases and backpacks from school to the coach. It took 45 minutes to load the coach with pupils, staff and luggage… and an emergency call to Mr Bird to bring his car as not all the luggage would fit on the coach!

12.00 – the coach departed with 60 very excited children on board

1.20pm – our group arrived at Croft Farm. After settling in and being shown the facilities the children were put into their activity groups.

Over the week the activities on offer include: abseiling, archery, buggy building, climbing, dance mania, katakanuing, mini Olympics, raft building, rock climbing, rocket launching, sensory trailing, stand up paddle boarding and windsurfing.

Tues 16 May – Day 2

We’ve received reports in the office that the children were so excited they struggled to get to sleep last night and were up at the crack of dawn today ready to get started on more fun activities.

Wed 17 May – Day 3

The staff got the children to bed earlier last night and they were so tired after a jam-packed day they weren’t up so early this morning. The weather has been very, very wet today but everyone is having fun, getting stuck in and enjoying the activities.

Thurs 18 May – Day 4

The sun is shining – what a difference! All groups are enjoying the activities and tonight is disco night.

Fri 19 May – Day 5

We squeezed in a couple more actvities this morning then returned to Oxford after lunch – a very tired but happy group!
