Year 5 STEAM Museum trip

The STEAM Museum is the Great Western Railway Museum, located in Swindon. We spent the day learning about what it was like being a child evacuees at the start of the war and what life with the constant bombardment of bombs was like, even sitting in a replica bomb shelter ourselves. Our guides were very knowledgeable and were able to share all kinds of details with us as well as real WW2 artifacts. The children were able to get into character when we did some role play and get to see what it was like to arrive in the countryside as an evacuee. It was a great visit.
Thank you to Daniel Crouch and Claudia Centazzo for joining us and for helping to make the trip possible.
