Year 3 returned the favour from earlier in the year, and came into Year 6 to show their science presentations. We were very impressed with their presentation skills.  

Victorian Day

On Monday 18th June, West Oxford travelled back in time to the Victorian Times. The children enjoyed dressing up as Victorian children and taking part in traditional Victorian school activities. William Morris art work, Victorian handwriting and PE drills were some of the activities put on by teachers throughout the day.

Year 6 created a presentation for Year 3 to explain how sounds travel to our ears and the link between loud and quiet sounds and the size of sound vibrations. Year 3 were a great audience.  

Year 3 Class Assembly

Year 3 had so much fun putting together and performing their first class assembly to parents and peers. The children loved sharing all the exciting knowledge they have learnt about the ‘The Rainforest’.  

Year 3 Science Week

Year 3 enjoyed being scientists for the week – some of our investigations looked at which drink stayed fizziest the longest and which materials made the best hats.

The Living Rainforest

Everyday Life of the Romans

This week Year 3 had a fabulous visit to the Corinium museum in Cirencester to learn all about the everyday life of Romans. We explored the museum and took part in an active learning session .
