Victorian Day

On Monday 18th June, West Oxford travelled back in time to the Victorian Times. The children enjoyed dressing up as Victorian children and taking part in traditional Victorian school activities. William Morris art work, Victorian handwriting and PE drills were some of the activities put on by teachers throughout the day.

Carol singing in the Covered Market

We enjoyed a very festive trip to the Covered Market in Oxford to take part in carol singing for Save the Children on Friday 8 December.  West Oxford’s Year 5 class raised just under £70 which went towards the total of £302.64 raised for Save the Children that day.

Ancient Greece at the Ashmolean

On Thursday 19 October Year 5 visited the Ashmolean Museum to see statues and antiquities from Ancient Greece. We had a great time and very much appreciated Lucy’s mum and Thomas’s mum coming with us.
