Year 6 visit to Pizza Express

This morning, Year 6 visited Pizza Express and made their own pizzas.

Year 6 created a presentation for Year 3 to explain how sounds travel to our ears and the link between loud and quiet sounds and the size of sound vibrations. Year 3 were a great audience.  

Year 6 visit to Cadbury World

Yesterday, Year 6 visited Cadbury World. It was a really great adventure, and the 4D cinema was a great hit! It’s been given a 5 out of 5 star rating from all of Year 6 and described as the ‘best school trip ever’!

Bright Sparks Workshop

Year 6 really enjoyed their Bright Sparks workshop during Science Week: we created bracelets to represent the distances between planets; testing ‘alien’ soils; and tried to protect the eyes of our alien creature from U.V rays!  

Science Week – Microscope Investigations

Mrs McCarthy came in to work with each class and carry out microscope investigations. We could see lots of details through the microscopes that you couldn’t see with the naked eye. Year 6 Digital Leaders have been teaching Year 4 how to use Scratch to code their own game of ‘Crab Maze’.
