From Our Senior Leadership Team
“At West Oxford Community Primary School we have a commitment to nurturing each child’s unique strengths and aspirations as well as providing children with challenge in order to develop their determination, resilience and resourcefulness.
We aim for each child to leave our school with the self-knowledge that they have achieved their very best and have the capacity to continue learning and developing their potential. “

Our Commitment To Literacy
World Book Day is one of the highlights of our year, with children planning their costumes around their favourite books as much as a year in advance! We place literacy at the heart of our teaching strategy, and work to foster a love of reading and writing in all of our students.
Friends of the School
All parents and carers automatically become members of the FRIENDS whilst their children are at the school. A wide range of social and fundraising activities are arranged throughout the year and all FRIENDS are welcome to join in.
School Meals Menu
School lunches at West Oxford are provided in-house under the management of Ruth Lyster. Ruth and her team provide hot, healthy, tasty lunches each day and where possible will use locally sourced ingredients. Meals cost £2.20, billed through ParentPay.
After School Care
West Oxford After School Club runs from 3.00pm until 6.00pm and has two large outdoor areas, an adventure playground and a big club room which caters for all your child’s needs and interests.
Clubs & Activities
Children at the school enjoy a wide range of clubs and sports in addition to our rich curriculum, from netball to science. Clubs are heavily subscribed, and we encourage you to apply early.
